The Purple Pages of El Paso

Groundwork for the Purple Pages of El Paso began in 2014 as a response to the lack of a comprehensive list of LGBTQ-friendly health care and social services providers. The City of El Paso Department of Public Health, The University of Texas at El Paso, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, Project Vida, Aliviane, University Medical Center, Outright Community Center, PFLAG El Paso, and other community partners came together to address this issue and developed the framework for The Purple Pages of El Paso. The first draft of the Purple Pages of El Paso became available as a downloadable PDF in May 2016. Today, this fully searchable website was made possible through a grant from the University of Texas at Austin and The Texas Department of State Health Services.
