Received LGBTQ+ community training: I have experience of being an ally and an advocate for the LGBT+ community in Las Cruces. I was the first Coordinator of the LGBT+ Center (formerly Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center) at NMSU. I have been a part of NM Pride and PFLAG. I have provided counseling services (including individual and couples) and resources (including gender affirming hormone therapy) to many who identify as transgender, non-binary, and queer.
